My name is Ameer, a son of Gaza—a brother, a son, a human being—and today I speak to you from a heart that is broken, yet still beating… because hope is still alive. Since the day this world opened its eyes, we in Gaza have been struggling. We've lived every day under the shadow of death. But this past year has brought devastation beyond imagination. We are living through a nightmare. Bombs fall. Blood spills. Screams echo. Bodies are trapped beneath rubble. This isn’t just news coverage—this is our daily reality. Mothers lose their children. Children cry out for parents who will never return. People run—not to live, but just to survive—and many don’t make it. We have lost homes, neighborhoods, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
